Culture of Recognition
Stanford provides 3 university-wide recognition programs for employees. Furthermore, Business Affairs proudly embraces a culture of recognition and offers two additional, local awards that celebrate career milestones, workplace excellence, and personal and professional growth.
The Spotlight Award, granted by the CFO and VP of Business Affairs, is presented in recognition of one or more of the following:
Up to twelve (12) individuals may be winners of the annual Spotlight Award and they receive a gift card in the amount of $500, a customized letter of appreciation from the CFO, attendance and recognition at the Business Affairs Managers Meeting, and lunch with the CFO.
Throughout the year, each business unit recognizes service anniversaries in their own manner.
In addition to these local recognitions, the CFO and VP of Business Affairs recognizes those staff who have achieved twenty (20) years or more of service to Stanford with a four course dinner and celebration for them and a guest at a local, fine restaurant.
These honorees receive recognition in the form of a certificate of appreciation and an engraved crystal award. Their unique and heartfelt stories and reminiscences are memorialized in a bound program of the event.
